John Paul Cherrington
Head of Communications
JP is my first contact for all media enquiries. He splits his time between my Leeds office and London.
He has worked in political communications and organisational roles on local, regional and international election campaigns. He previously worked as a professional theatre director and writer and lectured at drama schools and universities.
Imogen works with me on the Fisheries committee and helps to run my Doorstep EU app.
She has a degree in rhetoric, and outside of work she enjoys playing music and writing.
Administrator and Caseworker
Aidan is from the Republic of Ireland, but has been living in the UK since 2008. He works in my Leeds office, where he has responsibility for administration, casework and diary management. Aidan has a PhD in modern Irish history and worked as lecturer before joining the office. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, as well as watching sport on the TV whenever he gets the chance!
Head of Office
Jessica oversees the smooth running of both offices in Yorkshire and Parliament, including coordinating staff and ensuring compliance with Parliament’s transparency and auditing requirements.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys swimming, travelling and spending time with her husband Mark and daughter Eva.
Researcher and Communications Assistant
Huw is from Manchester, with a BA in Modern Languages (French and Spanish) from the University of Oxford. He was editor of the unfortunately-named university magazine The ISIS, and steered his college’s 2nd XI football team to a healthy sixth place in a league consisting of six teams. He loves to travel, play sport, and dances a bit of Argentine tango to the best of his British ability. He also works in the Leeds office.
Léo works with me on the Constitutional Affairs and Economic Affairs committees. He studied in Paris, London and Berlin and has a degree in European Affairs from SciencesPo Paris and the LSE. He was President of the Bringing Europeans Together Association, helping young people learn about the EU.
He has family in France and England, but supports Ireland in the Six Nations rugby Championship. Léo enjoys night photography and long walks with his canine companion, Pacco.
