Sir,

Ms Josephine White's letter (9th May) quoting a leading EU figure, that there are 3000 secret EU committees, is wide of the mark.

All EU committees are listed, their agendas are sent to the European Parliament and no EU legislation can be adopted without going before the elected European Parliament and before elected national governments for their approval.

It is a shame that eurosceptics don't want to check their facts before writing scare-stories.
