Corbett slams UKIP voting policy
A local MEP has spoken out in condemnation of the UK Independence Party's voting tactics, during a speech in the European Parliament.
Richard Corbett, who is MEP for Yorkshire and Humber, said:
"Research shows that the more people know about the European Union, the more they support it. That is why Nigel Farage and his UKIP colleagues have consistently opposed initiatives and resources to help people find out what the EU is all about".
"UKIP rely on ignorance and prejudice to push their europhobic rant - the last thing they want is for people to make up their own minds, based on the facts".
