Corbett worries for Kilroy's "distorting shape"

Labour MEP Richard Corbett has today commented on Robert Kilroy Silk's latest blunder, after the gaffe prone former daytime TV presenter bewildered Marks and Spencer by claiming that it uses "distorting" mirrors in its changing rooms.

Mr Kilroy-Silk made the accusation in a written question to the European Commission, asking if it was "conceivable that within the millions of EU regulations" there was not one that made it illegal for M&S to have mirrors that "deliberately distort women's shapes".

A baffled spokesman for M&S pointed out that their mirrors were perfectly normal, and that the high street chain was "at a loss as to what he might be referring to".

Richard, who is Deputy Leader of Labour MEPs, said, "Kilroy's latest embarrassment shows that his desperation to score cheap points against the Commission and boost his ego knows no bounds. Not for the first time, the only 'distorting' is being done by him."

"Mr Kilroy-Silk should try representing his constituents rather than indulging in such pathetic attempts to generate publicity for himself".
