Moderation policy

Thank you for following my work on this website, on my blog, and on associated social media such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

As the online community following my work grows, I am happy to see a wealth of political opinions expressed through the comments, as diversity of opinion is the very nature of debate. I do hope you continue to interact on my networks, but I ask you to follow these simple rules.

  • I will not accept comments on my pages that are either offensive in themselves, or offensive to other users. Thus, I ask you to avoid the use of obscenities and other insulting language, to show respect for fellow users and the fundamental principles that we all share. This means avoiding comments that are racist, sexist or xenophobic, that call for violence, that are in other ways intemperate or provocative, that are repetitious, that are defamatory, unlawful or include copyright infringements. Such comments will be deleted. I will temporarily or permanently ban or block users who repeatedly post such comments, as well as people impersonating public figures or using fake accounts.
  • I would also encourage you to post comments that stick to the topic on hand and would appreciate it if you would refrain from posting advertisements on my pages (for your businesses, blogs, websites, etc). Spam, attempts to flood the comments section in order to crowd out other views, instances of repetition, and off-topic items will be deleted.
  • I aim to respond to direct questions in a timely manner, but I cannot guarantee responses to all questions and comments, especially during busy periods. If you would like a formal reply to a question, please contact me by email.

I do enjoy genuine debate and I hope my website can bring together many individuals to discuss a range of topics. I look forward to continuing the conversation with you.

This is done in order to gather demographic and other statistical information about user behaviour to measure the popularity and effectiveness of my site. As a rule, cookies will make your browsing experience better. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. I suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About Cookies website, which offers guidance for all modern browsers.
